Saturn is the ORIGINAL SUN! Let that sink in.

The Sun and Saturn are two very different celestial objects. Yet the Babylonians appeared to ‘confuse’ the two… or was it just the translators of the Babylonian texts?

Let us begin with the premise that SATURN imbibes the SOLAR ENERGY and many Ancients mistook him for the Sun. Why did this happen? Was it a mistake?

Of the Babylonian star-worshippers the chronicler Diodorus writes: “To the one we call Saturn they give a special name, ‘Sun-Star.'”

Therefore we can say that Saturn is the ANCIENT SUN so the Greeks called him “Helios”. The Romans called him “Sol”. The Egyptians worshiped the luminary Atum or Ra, just as the Sumerians honored Utu and the Babylonians the god Shamash. SATURN has been revered as the “Universal Monarch,” the “father” of civilization and the celestial prototype of kings by Astronomers/astrologers and academics/researchers.

That my love is the power of Saturn and CAPRICORN is about the most CONCRETE MANIFESTATION of the spiritual. The densest vibe in the astro and the CAPRICORNIAN KEYWORDS are~ I USE! Keep in mind that I USE should not become I USE AND ABUSE. That is the soul lesson of Capricorn.

What makes this energy super special and different from any other transit? SATURN is both the ESOTERIC and the EXOTERIC ruler of CAPRICORN.

BTW, as SATURN is readying for this change, the emails and texts are becoming more frequent as it is felt strongly by the collective. Saturn is karma and time, the law of causation, so it is a huge deal whenever Saturn changes signs. It is a thick, dense, cold vibe, but you can channel Saturn’s energies to boost your karmic spiral. Saturn rules GRAVITY too, FYI! Saturn will slow you down and STOP you in your tracks sometimes, so watch for the breaks and press them when needed.

The last time SATURN was in CAPRICORN was Nov 12, 1988 and before that in Jan  5, 1959! And this time it is happening just a day before the Solstice.

A little bit of googling got me to a very interesting event on the Feb 20 when Peter Kalikow purchases NY Post from Rupert Murdoch for $37.6 million. There were other noteworthy snippets, like Margaret Thatcher becoming the longest serving PM of the century and the USSR doing nuclear tests in Kazakh and of course stories of Right Wing Guerrilla attack on Mozambique’s western border, but I decided to pay attention to the sale of NY POST.

Why? Because it brought about the TABLOID JOURNALISM we are so used to today. Let me mention that although MURDOCH sold the NY POST in 88, he regained control in 1993. Therefore, the public has grown accustomed to this type of yellow journalism. In fact the last thirty years cemented the problems with paparazzi, leading to even deaths of famous personalities like Lady Diana.

The Post has been criticized since the beginning of Murdoch’s ownership for sensationalism, blatant advocacy, and conservative bias. In 1980, the Columbia Journalism Review stated “New York Post is no longer merely a journalistic problem. It is a social problem – a force for evil.” ~~WIKIPEDIA

On November 8, 2000, Post printed “BUSH WINS!” in a huge headline, although the presidential election remained in doubt because of the recount issues in Florida and this happened two years into SATURN’S foray through this sign, so be mindful as to what you hear now and do not believe everything.

See with SATURN in CAP, we can expect all repressed, hidden, exposed and vulnerable issues with the FATHER and father figures to escalate. This means that we may have a tendency to display our repressed feelings and transfer them onto a father figure. For some it maybe TRUMP, for some it maybe MODI.

But the question here is, are we addressing the TRUMP inside of us. The shadow within! Because whatever plays out so prominently in the collective is just manifestations of our own psyche. Ir would be interesting to see the development of media with this transit and URANUS in TAURUS, CHIRON in ARIES, (NEPTUNE is in Pisces and will be here for 7 more years) all coming up, will add to the changing face of media houses and media conglomerates. It will also highlight alternative INDIVIDUAL IP (intellectual property) because a lot of people will be speaking out and conventional media will not be able to keep the stories hidden from the public.

JUPITER in SCORPIO is making sure that a lot of Scorpio related secrets come out now in the open and if we use the SATURNIAN energy in CAPRICORN, we can finally give shape to the ideas and movements that can change humanity for good. Both SATURN and JUPITER are not going to let anything remain hidden. The interactions of these two and the final meeting in 2020 is going to be HUGE! The last time this happened in this sign, the congregation of all planets in the same degree happened in 1284, according to the Leo King. And he thinks we are entering some type of DARK AGES. Darkness and light are both cyclical and that is what SATURN wants us to learn, the perfect balance to keep our karmic sheets neat and clean.

CAPRICORN is structure, rules, rigidity and hard work and when SATURN, the very ruler of this earth/male sign returns to this spot in the sky, then you can expect things to get hard, things to come under heavy scrutiny. If you feel depressed and out-of-balance, then this might be a good time to bring in some Saturnian influences in your life, like consulting with elders and seniors, working on creating solid foundations and the like. The concept, at this point, was no longer limited to only those intellectual beings that can actually experience the feeling of power; it now applied to all life. The phrase Wille zur Macht first appears in part 1, “1001 Goals” (1883), then in part 2, in two sections, “Self-Overcoming” and “Redemption” (later in 1883). “Self-Overcoming” describes it in most detail, saying it is an “unexhausted procreative will of life”. There is will to power where there is life and even the strongest living things will risk their lives for more power. SATURN in CAPRICORN can define what WILL TO POWER means in your life. What are you motivated to execute? How can you find self discipline? How can you work through the sufferings of 3D structure to assimilate and integrate the soul lessons of Saturn? Basically DO NOT MESS WITH POWER. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts ABSOLUTELY! Remember this.

Power by itself is not good or evil. It just means you have leverage. But how do you use that leverage? How do you work with the gain or loss of power? Saturn will be asking you these questions. And Saturn will also bring back POWER where you have lost it. Just watch for where the sign of CAPRICORN falls in your natal chart. For me it is the 5th house from the Ascendant, so creativity, children, fun and play, romance, all this will find restriction and within that confinement it will find structure and flourish if I use this wisely.

SATURN also known as the GRIM REAPER has been in both medieval and contemporary astrology associated with FAILURE. Expect to face the concept and context of failures in your life.

Crypto-Currencies and NET NEUTRALITY will be objects of concern. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will definitely win big time when Uranus ingresses into Taurus. Let us hope that we the collective can retain our normal internet.

This Kafkaesque reality where we wait arduously in front of a metaphoric door can leave us haunted, CLAUSTROPHOBIC, FEELING LOCKED AND BLOCKED in sequential, linear timeloops because we want to enter the gate badly. But SATURN, as the GATEKEEPER refuses this entry. But maybe, it is not our door to enter! Thought of that? Or maybe all SATURN wants from us is a bit of bravery. More on that later…

HPB tells us of one point in ancient human history, back in old Atlantis, the Door was opened for humans to enter into the 5th Kingdom of Souls, to the realm of the Adepts, into SHAMBALLA, into GYANGANJ. In the TAROT, CAPRICORN is signified by the tarot card THE DEVIL, which speaks of material enslavement if we are not careful. However, in the DRUID DECK, there is no DEVIL CARD, it is called Cernunnos, a Celtic god of fertility, life, animals, wealth, and the underworld. Cernunnos is like PAN, the GREEK GOD of fertility. PAN used to seduce nymphs playing them divine music from his flutes. Saturn’s transit though this sign will definitely bring out sexual energies which can be balanced with sacred sexuality and music.

CAPRICORN is an earth sign and in the myths of yore, Saturn, Mars, and Ceres were the leading Roman agricultural gods. SATURN [sat’urn] was identified with Cronus, a SOLAR DEITY and his consort, Ops, was identified with Rhea. Interestingly, SHANI or SATURN in VEDIC astrology is the son of the SUN! In the honour of Cronos, there was a festival, the Consualia, where the rape of the Sabine women took place.

The Rape occurred in the early history of Rome, shortly after its founding by Romulus and his mostly male followers. Seeking wives in order to establish families, the Romans negotiated unsuccessfully with the Sabines, who populated the surrounding area. The Sabine’s feared the emergence of a rival society and refused to allow their women to marry the Romans. Consequently, the Romans planned to abduct Sabine women during a festival of Neptune Equester. They planned and announced a marvelous festival to attract people from all nearby towns. At the festival, Romulus gave a signal, at which the Romans grabbed the Sabine women and fought off the Sabine men. If the sexual energy of CAPRICORN is not given a SACRED SHAME-FREE ZONE to explore and experience, then we may see such rapes being carried out. Ultimately rape is not about sex, it is about POWER and SATURN in CAP is all about power which can be used for both good or bad.

Saturn was said to have ruled over a Golden Age in the early history of humankind which is called SATYA YUGA in Hindu myth. SATYA YUGA as described in the Mahabharata, the Hindu epic: “there were no poor and no rich; there was no need to labour, because all that men required was obtained by the power of will; the chief virtue was the abandonment of all worldly desires.” SHANI/SATURN ruled over these times.

Saturn’s festival, the Saturnalia, was a midwinter celebration, perhaps originally connected with the sowing of grain. It is a good time to seed and grow food. Why not think of making an edible garden in your front lawn, if you are lucky enough to have one. Why not eat vegetables we grow ourselves? Saturn will like that.

Prometheus, the Titans, led to the end of the Golden Age/satya yuga and brought in the TRETA YUGA by gifting humans with the gift of fire which is eternal knowledge and higher aspirations, likened to the phenomenon is the process of self-actualization that Jung called individuation and ended SATURN’S rule on earth! Symbolic!

Carl Jung and his work with the SHADOW definitely brought the ARCHETYPE of SATURN to the collective mind and contemporary thought.

Dane Rudhyar was the first to apply Jung’s idea of synchronicity – the mysterious relationship between apparent “causes” and “effects” – to the workings of planetary cycles, leading astrology out of the stilted old assumptions of mechanistic materialism. He incorporated into astrology insights from depth psychology, downplaying the planets’ literal associations. Saturn’s literal associations – e.g. punishment, hardship and death – have through the ages been more limiting than any other planet’s: not only because Saturn governs the concept of limits, but because we have held onto its literalisms in a more limited way.  ~~Motherskyastrology

SATURN in CAP will make us suffer. It will sucker punch us into awareness. It will rip off the blindfold to show us the mess we have created…suffering, suffering, suffering everywhere, but not a drop of peace. Is that how you feel? My love, suffering is a part of the human experience, therefore UNAVOIDABLE in case you missed the whole point.

A mother suffers so much while giving birth, ask me, I suffered for 19 hours before labour, so I know what it feels like. Giving birth is pain, but when you are in the moment and the contractions come, you embrace them and do whatever to assist in the birth. Why not use SATURN in CAPRICORN as the ultimate birthing of a NEW, MORE EVOLVED YOU?

Cronos eating his children symbolises CYCLES of birth and death and SATURN is the law-keeper of these cycles, he is the lord of EFFORT and eventual MASTERY.
